Shelby Carroll is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. She attended Ezell-Harding Christian School where she played soccer and ran track. She was also a competitive gymnast for fourteen years. Shelby attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from 2012 to 2015, where she obtained her undergraduate degree Cum Laude in Political Science. While at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority and Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society.


Shelby attended the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center from 2015-2018, where she obtained a Juris Doctor and a Graduate Diploma in Civil Law. While in law school, Shelby was an LSU Law Ambassador, a member of the Public Interest Society, and a legal extern for the Louisiana Office of State Inspector General and The Louisiana Parole Project. Shelby was sworn in by the Tennessee Supreme Court on June 4, 2019. Shelby has experience in creditor and collection law before focusing her practice on Domestic and Juvenile Law. She worked at Story, Abernathy, and Campbell in Franklin, Tennessee focusing on Domestic and Juvenile Law from 2019 to 2023. In November of 2023, Shelby moved her practice to Maury County focusing on Domestic and Juvenile Law.


In her free time, Shelby likes to shop, read, travel with her Husband, attend concerts, and workout. She is an avid LSU sports fan.
